- 主谓宾宾补结构（SVOOC）：宾语补足语可由名词等充当，常用于使役动词等后。如“My father kept my sister standing all the afternoon.”。

- 主谓状（SVA）：谓语动词通常为不及物动词，状语修饰谓语。如“Those old people have been living in the small village.”。

- 主谓宾状（SVOA）：在主谓宾基础上加上状语，说明动作相关情况。如“He finished his homework quickly last night.”。

- there be结构：表示“存在”，如“There is a book on the desk.”。be可被exist、live等替换，也可和情态动词连用，还有被动形式。
